The Story
On May 27th Cliff was hit by a car while walking from a grocery store to his vehicle with three of his
four children present. The collision resulted in severe damage to his lower left leg and he has undergone
several surgeries to repair extensive damage to bone and soft tissue. The Hibbitts children all avoided
injury but witnessed this horrible incident. Cliff remains in the hospital and faces many months of
rehabilitation before he is well enough to return to work.
Cliff owns/operates the Los Gatos Barber Shop. He also owns/operates Hibbitts Family Stables in San
Jose and is the sole income provider for himself, his wife, Stephanie, and their four children. Both of his
jobs require a lot of time on his feet and it is expected that he will not be able to return to work full-time
for one year.
Generosity, love and compassion are but a few of the many attributes one can use to describe the Hibbitts family. Their unending support for their community includes time, labor and financial contributions to
Los Gatos Lions Club, Los Gatos Little League, Los Gatos-Saratoga Girls Softball, Calvary Church,
Los Gatos Elementary School District, and many, many individual contributions for their friends and
neighbors. They never hesitate to help where help is needed and never expect anything in return.
